Specific Need
The Friends of the River Foundation is striving to be sustainable by building the Friends Endowment. The restoration of the Smoky Hill River is in process and the Friends of the River is fundraising for projects along the River not covered by the sales tax. The Friends host clean-ups and create opportunities for the public to engage and learn about this natural resource.
Mission
The Friends of the River Foundation strives to restore the natural channel of the Smoky Hill RIver to its role as an integral part of the aesthetic, recreational and economic life of Salina.
