Fund for Early Childhood Care, Education & Development

Mission

The mission of this fund is to provide quality care, education, early-age testing and diagnosis of mental and physical disabilities of our youngest citizens. Grants from this fund will support organizations or programs in Saline and Ottawa Counties whose work furthers the care, education, development, health, safety and human service needs of children ages 0-6 to better prepare them for kindergarten. 

Profile

Grants from this fund are accepted multiple times throughout the year. Recent grants include:

  • $4,000- Ell-Saline Elementary USD 307, for seed money to implement a monthly preschool day camp for local 4-year olds.
  • $1,800- Heartland Programs for the Read Aloud Libraries program.
  • $1,518- Smoky Hills Public Television to provide books for children enrolled in the Head Start programs in Ottawa and Saline counties.
