Salina Animal Shelter

Goal: $6,000.00

Specific Need

Stainless Steel Cat Condos

The Animal Shelter is in need of Stainless Steel Cat Condos for the Trap & Lab Room that houses stray and surrender cats. The stainless steel condos are more durable and less likely to harbor bacteria, making it more sanitary than the original condos. The shelter has a goal to purchase two condos to benefit our animals. Your gracious donations will make our goal possible to provide the best care for the animals.

Mission

The Salina Animal Shelter's Mission is:

To enforce Chapter 7 of Salina City's Code of Ordinances, provide a temporary shelter for stray, surrendered, and homeless domestic pets, and to encourage reclaiming and adopting of stray pets. The Salina Animal Shelter is trained to help educate the general public on responsible pet ownership and safety of all animals. All activities shall be in compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations and performed by a humane and professional staff.

Profile

The Salina Animal Shelter not only enforces city ordinances, but it has a multitude of other missions and purposes as well. One of the Animal Shelter's purposes is to provide a safe, comfortable environment and quality care for the strays and surrendered pets.   We house  these animals until they are reclaimed or find their furever home. Part of our mission is to provide the public with a low-cost spay/neuter clinic and a trap-and-release (TNR) program.

The Shelter's missions and goals are accomplished through the help of the Friends of the Salina Animal Shelter and generous donations from the public.
