Build A Pro Foundation
Goal: $5,500.00
Specific Need
"Double the Impact: Build a Future Together!"
Build A Pro Foundation is raising community support for three priority initiatives in 2026:
1) Apprenticeship Growth & Employer Partnerships
Community donations help us build and sustain relationships with local employers who want to train and hire apprentices. While some expansion work is supported by state grants, flexible community dollars allow us to respond quickly to employer interest, launch new apprenticeships, and support long-term workforce growth in our region.
2) Recovery-Ready Employer Education
We work with employers to create workplaces where individuals facing recovery or other employment barriers can succeed. County funding supports this work, but community donations help us expand education, outreach, and employer readiness so more local businesses can participate.
3) Lazarus House – Second-Chance Workforce Stability
Lazarus House is a community-supported initiative within Build A Pro that provides stability and accountability for individuals rebuilding their lives while preparing for employment. Community donations help cover essential costs that allow residents to focus on personal growth, workforce readiness, and long-term stability.
Our goal is to raise $5,500 to fund our endowment fully. With your help, we can unlock matching funds to fuel life-changing programs.
Your donation today doesn’t just change lives—it transforms our entire community.
Mission
Build A Pro Foundation connects people to meaningful careers through employer-driven apprenticeships and practical support. We partner with local businesses to develop talent pipelines while helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and build stable, self-sufficient futures.Profile
Build A Pro Foundation is a Central Kansas nonprofit workforce intermediary that helps employers design and operate state-recognized apprenticeship programs. We serve individuals at various stages of life, including those facing barriers such as limited work experience, past justice involvement, or recovery from substance use.
Rather than operating as a traditional training program, Build A Pro works alongside employers to create real jobs paired with structured training, mentorship, and support. Our approach strengthens local businesses, reduces workforce gaps, and helps individuals build long-term stability through employment. Donations also help cover practical supports like transportation, tools, and certifications that often determine whether someone can stay employed.
Some of our work is supported by public grants, but community donations are essential. Flexible local funding allows us to grow employer partnerships, respond to individual needs, and sustain initiatives like Lazarus House that rely on community investment.
